C-Care International the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a private healthcare group having its head office in Mauritius, owning and operating three multidisciplinary private hospitals with a total of 400 beds, 22 primary care clinics, retail pharmacies and 4 main medical laboratories and 46 lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda and Madagascar.

C-Care entities are known as C-Care Wellkin, C-Care Darné, C-Care IHK, C-Care IMC, C-Lab, C-Pharma and CTB.


C-Care is currently looking for a Group Head of Product development and Pricing to be based at C-Care Corporate Office, reporting to the CEO.

Group Head of Product development and Pricing

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations related to revenue generation within C-Care, including the product development & pricing strategy and insurance relationship. The primary goal is to optimize revenue streams and gross margin while ensuring compliance with Healthcare good practices, and maintaining accurate financial records.


What you will be doing?
  • Be responsible for product development, optimization and alignment across hospitals.
  • Be responsible for product pricing methodology and processes.
  • Responsible for maximizing revenue by analyzing and improving the organization's pricing, invoicing, billing, and coding processes.
  • Managed Insurance negotiation and contracts.
  • Analyzes financial data, including revenue trends, reimbursement rates to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
  • Identify potential revenue leakage points and formulate recommendations to avoid them.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to the board, highlighting areas of improvement and suggesting strategies for optimizing revenue and product cost performance.
  • Review processes to assess medical necessity, length of stay, and resource utilization, as such assist in identifying potential reimbursement issues and optimizing revenue opportunities.
  • Lead the ICD 10 coding project or equivalent.

What we are looking for?

  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in healthcare sector, including at least 3 years operating at an Executive Committee (EXCO) level or as part of a Leadership Team.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in a healthcare or insurance organization
  • Proficiency in financial /analyze financial statements, assess profitability, perform cost-benefit analysis, and understand key financial metrics.
  • A solid understanding of healthcare reimbursement by private insurance.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, perform data analysis.
  • Health insurance claims management knowledge - analytics capabilities to identify reimbursements issues/optimization
  • Proficiency in using healthcare information systems (HIS, records, revenue cycle).
  • Ability to design processes and structure to be applied cross hospitals
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding processes and systems (e.g., ICD-10,) is also important.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies.
  • Good communication skills and capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and presenting financial information to stakeholders.
  • Self-starter capable to work alone & well as in a team.
  • Negotiation & « key account management » skills
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel or data visualization software can be valuable.
  • At ease with various data tools/ HIS type of tool.
