The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
What you will be doing:
-Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by the Supervisor(s) to meet the standards and the quality set by the Company
-Ensures that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times
-Ensures highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an on-going basis
-Observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling or piercing them with utensils
-Ensures employees have supplies, equipment, tools and uniforms necessary to do their jobs
-Shows initiative and pro-activeness in improving Safety, Health, Environment and Quality practices
What are we looking for?
-A minimum NTC Level 2 in Food Production
-A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position in the hospitality sector
-Good knowledge of Hygiene and Safety Standards
-Able to read, comprehend, communicate to others and implement written training and compliance information
