What you will be doing:
To organize work, as per instructions taken from ICU Supervisor (if necessary)
Keeping the ICU Supervisor informed of all relevant issues concerning patients under his/her care
To monitor the patients’ state of health and to report any abnormality promptly to higher officers
To keep patient notes up to date at all times, namely the patients’ drugs chart. (This chart will be the only document used by doctors to monitor follow-up of treatment and later, will be the sole document on which the exact billing of consumables will be charged to patients)
To write nurses notes giving details of all happenings and to inform in-coming shifts of tasks in-need to be completed
To liaise compassionately and efficiently with patients’ relatives and visitors
To ensure safe custody and administration of drugs
To check as per ward policy, the stock of controlled drugs and report any discrepancy to the ward supervisor.
What are we looking for?
Diploma in General Nursing or equivalent
2 years working experience
Supervisory, Leadership, Decisions and Solving Problems, Critical Thinking, Problem sensitivity, Continuous learning.
