C-Care is currently looking for a Debt Recovery Officer to be based at C-Care Wellkin Hospital.

Debt Recovery Officer

Reporting to the Head of Debtors, the Debtors Recovery Officer will be responsible for the collection of debts prior to legal recovery proceedings commencing, negotiating payments/payment arrangements, handling debtor enquiries and provides administrative assistance to the team. The role will have the following responsibilities in line with debt management:

A. Keeping track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.

B. Planning course of action to recover outstanding payments.

C. Contacting debtors to inquire of their payment status.

What you will be doing?

· To manage customer portfolio by sending Statement of Accounts and performing reconciliation

· Update payment on the database (receipting) and ensure accounts are kept updated.

· To report abnormalities, determine & follow up on causes of short and non - paid items and work with various departments to resolve the issues.

· To follow established process to remind customers of their outstanding and long overdue bills that are unpaid via phones calls, emails, and any other means as may apply.

· To liaise with other departments with regards to recovery.

· Understanding the clients’ payment processes.

· Contact and communicate effectively with debtors to collect payment for overdue bills.

· To persuade debtors who might be late or non-compliant on the need to pay off their debt & negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans.

· Set clear expectations with the customers with regards to payment.

· To perform any other tasks as it may be required for debt recovery.

What are we looking for?

· Higher School Certificate, a degree in Business administration or Accounting will be an advantage.

· Proficient with MS Excel and Word

· Ability to work under high pressure.

· Good presentation & analytical skills Data analytics.

· High curiosity, perseverance, commitment, communication, teamwork and desire to learn.
